LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Hawai'i Pacific University took it on the chin Sunday at the Desert Stinger Tournament at Majestic Park.
Host Montana State Billings (2-1) handed the Sharks an 8-0 six-inning loss, then Sonoma State (1-2) beat the Sharks (1-2) 8-1.
HPU collected just two hits in against MSUB in the 8-0 loss, while the Sharks were one-hit but picked up a run in the 8-1 loss to Sonoma State.

Emilee Leonard had a pinch hit fielder's choice to score their only run of the day.
Leonard took the loss in the first game allowing five runs on seven hits in 4.1 innings with two strikeouts and four walks.
Alexis Morales went the distance in the loss to Sonoma State, allowing eight runs, seven earned, on 11 hits with four walks and a strikeout.
The Sharks have two more games in Las Vegas on Monday, as they meet Montana State Billings in a doubleheader at Majestic Park. It's not part of the Desert Stinger, but makes up the playing opportunities for the two teams after having Saturday's tournament games washed out. First pitch is set for 9:30 a.m. HST (11:30 PST).
