Honolulu, HI - The Keehi boys lost both games of a double header to Biola this past Saturday at Hans L'Orange park. The first game was a slug fest with both teams battling for the lead all game long. The Sharks were able to tie it up in the 9th inning but Biola got 1 in the top of the 10th and the Sharks were unable to answer back as they lost 12-11. The Sharks jumped out to an early led in game 2 but Biola was able to take it back thanks to a 4 run 4th inning. The Sharks tied it up in the 5th on a
Kan Taguchi 2 run single but Biola put up 6 runs in the 7th to put the game away.
Kan Taguchi and
Bronson Rivera swung the bat well for the Sharks collecting 3 and 4 hits respectively. Freshman
Tyler Arnold also had 3 hits on the day, including a home run.
While the Sharks had good at bats all day long and were able to keep themselves in the game, Biola's ability to capitalize on Shark defensive errors was the difference maker. The Sharks look to clean things up and take 2 from Biola to even the series on Monday,
March 3rd.
