Honolulu, HI - The HPU Softball team finished the season on a high note, winning their final contest of the year at Sand Island against Hilo. In the seniors' last game, the Sharks defeated Hilo 2-1.

In her last appearance as a Shark, Taylor Thompson continued to do what she has done all year and had another dominant outing to cap off what has been an incredible career. She went 7 innings allowing just 1 run. She threw over 570 innings in her career as a Shark, striking out 375 batters and throwing an astonishing 52 complete games.

Jewel Larson and Tiari Hernadez both went 2-3 with a double a piece in their final games. Larson and Hernandez have been key members of the Sharks offense since they stepped on campus. Larson has a career batting average of .290 to go along with 26 doubles. Hernandez hit .288 in her career to go along with 39 doubles and 7 homeruns.

After a year with some ups and downs, the Sharks were able to come together and finish the season on a high note for this year's seniors. With a lot of key pieces returning next year, it should be an exciting couple of upcoming years for HPU Softball!
