Summary

Biography

Born in Surrey, England, England James began representing Surrey County Golf at the age of 14, due to winning two Junior Order of Merit events that summer. From there James carried on to represent Surrey, and played in the U15 team annual match against Wales. At age 16 James attended Sussex College of Golf, and continued to play amateur events, as well as representing in the five-man team at the College of Golf.

In 2010, James made the decision to come to Hawaii to play golf. Fawssett redshirted his freshman year but made a big impact in 2011-2012. He qualified for the first two tournaments and was the low man on both occasions shooting 72 at Turtle Bay and 73 at Ewa Beach. He had a very consistent season shooting in the 70s in every round bar one. At the end of the season James was awarded men’s golf MVP.

Fawssett also excelled in the classroom with a cumulative GPA of 3.15.
