Personal: Born in Virginia Beach, Virginia to Rhonda and Greg Kunsch and has one brother named Alex (16)… nickname is Missy… marissa’s favorite food vegetarian “grass”… her favorite athletes are her teammates and coach… her favorite movies are UP and I am Legend… her favorite music artist is OndreCares… marissa came to HPU because of her passion to study Environmental Science… in ten years Marissa would like to be watching Leandro Santillan run in the Olympics
 

Prior to HPU: Participated in four sports (Swimming, Soccer, Track and Cross Country) at Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach… in the pool Marissa was named All-district in the 100m fly and 400m free… earned All-District honors in the 1600 for the track team… in Cross Country she was named All-district all four seasons and All-Region in three season.

HPU: 2014 begins her third season… In her career has ran in 16 races with 7 top 10 finishes... PacWest final 5 list... All - Conference selection in 2013... PRs: 1500M time of 5:24, 5k time of 18:22.
