Personal: Born in San Francisco...parents are Glenn Newman and Leroy Roth...hobbies are tako diving, surfing, and playing the ukelele...favorite food is burritos and favorite athlete is Barry Bonds...in 10 years he hopes to be working in the front office of the San Francisco Giants...came to HPU for the elite business school, increasingly dominant baseball program, and of course living in paradise.

Prior To HPU: Graduated from Lowell High School in San Francisco...lettered in baseball as a shortstop under Coach John Donohue...was a four-time First-Team All-City selection...led team to back-to-back CIF San Francisco championships...attended College of San Mateo and College of Marin...at San Mateo, he was named 2010 All-Conference.

HPU: 2012- Begins second season. 2011- Played in 23 games, starting 17…hit .327 with two doubles, eight RBI and 13 runs.
