A graduate of Madera High School, she competed under coaches Cambria Hix, Tammi Britton, and Alexis Revuelta, earning the Coaches’ Award in dance and the C.H.A.M.P. Award in gymnastics. Stansbury continued her athletic journey at California State University, Fresno, where she was part of the dance and cheer programs under coach Emmeline Jennings. Now at HPU, she is majoring in biology-health with aspirations of becoming a naturopathic or osteopathic physician. She chose Hawai‘i Pacific for the opportunity to try something new in acrobatics and tumbling while still staying connected to her gymnastics roots, all while living in a place she “love love loveeee[s].”
