Garelick led HPU to a 2-6 record against a rugged schedule in 2018, but was ranked seventh heading into the post season and competed in the NCATA Quarterfinals. While the Sharks fell in the team competition, she led the Sharks to a national title in the Six-Element Acro individual event, to go with silvers in the Aerial Pass and Inversion Pyramid and a bronze in the Five-Element Acro. She also coached a pair of All-Americans in her first season, with senior Daisha Paulino and sophomore Makayla Garland gathering the honors.

Garelick came to HPU after spending the 2016-17 season as an assistant at Oregon following two seasons of competing for the Ducks starting in 2014. As an assistant she helped coach two All-Americans as Oregon finished as the national team runner-up at the 2017 NCATA Championships.

She started her career as a student-athlete at Gannon (Pa.), competing in its inaugural season as a freshman and winning an Event National Title in seven-element acro for GU at the 2014 NCATA Finals as a sophomore.

Garelick transferred to Oregon for her junior and senior seasons where she competed in numerous heats including compulsory toss, compulsory pyramid, acro heat 5, pyramid heat 3, and the team event. She qualified for NCATA Event Finals in acro heat 5 and pyramid heat 3 in 2016. She helped the Ducks finish as national runners-up in 2015 and 2016.
