Carlos Ramirez is in his second season as an assistant coach at Hawai‘i Pacific University.
He works primarily with the Shark catchers and pitchers.
Ramirez joins the Sharks from NJCAA Division I Weatherford Community College in Texas. Ramirez spent his playing years at Miami Dade and the University of Miami along with playing professionally for the Red Sox and Angels.
Ramirez has over 20 years of experience coaching and scouting for the Boston Red Sox. His son Jean is the current MLB catching instructor/bullpen catcher for the Tampa Bay Rays. Ramirez has also been instrumental in the creation of Catching 24/7, one of the premier catching organizations in the country.
