Coley McClendon begins his 4th season as an assistant baseball coach for Hawaii Pacific University.
His responsibilities include coaching the catchers and recruiting.
A graduate of Huntington Beach High School, Coach McClendon was a two-sport athlete playing baseball and football where he was a two-time All-Sunset League baseball and football player. In addition, he was named all-county first team as a catcher.
Following his high school career, Coach McClendon played at Santa Ana Junior College, under legendary Head Coach Don Sneddon. Following his time at Santa Ana JC, Coach McClendon went on to play baseball at Chico State University, where he was a two year staring catcher and threw out 60% of attempted base stealers during his time there.
Coach McClendon Graduated from Chico State with a B.A in Political Science and has earned his Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership at HPU.
He resides in Kailua with his wife, Leslie, and Daughter Madison.
