Rayson is in his second-year coaching at Hawaii Pacific University working primarily as the infield coach. In 2022, Rayson coached Nick Jio, who was awarded the team's only PacWest First Team All-Conference selection. Went on to play baseball at Sonoma State University and completed his bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2018. At SSU, Rayson was a three-year starting shortstop earning all-conference honors his senior season. Following his collegiate career, he played professionally with the Sonoma Stompers, an independent baseball team in the Pacific Association from 2018 to 2019. Prior to HPU, he most recently worked as the infield coordinator and post-graduate head coach at Inspiration Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
Quote from Dane "We absolutely hit the jackpot with Rayson. I believe Rayson is one of the best young coaches in the game at any level. There is no doubt in my mind that our infielders, baserunners, and hitters will improve while he is with us. HPU baseball just got a whole lot better."
