Tyler Braidic

Tyler begins his first season on the Hawai`i Pacific Men’s Basketball coaching staff.

Braidic comes to HPU via Tusculum College where he spent two years on the Pioneers coaching staff. Braidic assisted in all operations of the Tusculum basketball program, including scouting, recruiting, video exchange, practice preparation, as well as on-court coaching.

Prior to Tusculum Braidic spent a season at Columbus State Community College, where he served as an assistant coach during the 2010-2011 season. While at CSCC, he assisted with all aspects of the team, including scouting, video coordination, travel coordination, budget operations and media relations. He also coordinated academic progress and tutoring for the program and recruiting coordination.

The Cougars posted a 24-7 overall record, including 7-5 in league play to finish third in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference standings and advanced to the OCCAC Tournament semifinal round.

Three members of the Columbus State program earned All-Conference honors, including Darnell Tubbs (1st Team), Glenn Cosey (1st Team) and Dimitri Abner (2nd Team).

He also served as head coach of the Columbus Hawks U-16 AAU basketball program for summer, 2011.

Braidic began his collegiate playing career at Hanover College where he helped his team to a 14-11 record, while seeing action in 11 contests.

He transferred to Bluffton University where he played his final two seasons. The Western Ohio native appeared in 33 games, including eight starts. Braidic also excelled in the classroom, where he was a consistent member of the Dean’s List.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 2010 from Bluffton, with a Pre-Dental emphasis.

Braidic has extensive basketball camp experience with Tusculum College, Bluffton University, Hanover College and Pandora-Gilboa High School.

Tyler resides in Makikki with his wife Rebekah.
