Biography

Personal: Born in Orange, California…parents are Mike and Jodie…has one brother; Michael (17)…Kristen’s hobbies include listening to music and going to the beach…favorite foods are Mexican food…favorite movies are Hot Rod, Step Brothers, and The Descendants…favorite musical artists are Jack Johnson, Grouplove, and Walk the Moon…favorite athlete is Keri Walsh…Kristen chose HPU because it has always been her dream to go to school in Hawaii…in 10 years she would like to be working in conservation and saving the ocean…she is currently majoring in Environmental Science.

Prior to HPU: Graduated from Orange Lutheran in Orange, California…there she played Softball, as pitcher, under Coach Steve Miklos…member of National Honor Society, graduated with honors

HPU: 2016- From the plate, Caskey hit for a .235 average with four doubles, nine RBIs, on twelve hits, while driving in four. In the circle, Caskey appeared in 21 games, starting 18 and had ten complete games. She had a 6.13 ERA with a 8-10 record.  2015- From the plate, Caskey hit for a .306 average with three doubles while driving in eight. In the circle, Caskey appeared in 29 games, starting 23 and had 17 complete games. She had a 4.53 ERA with a 12-10 record.  2014- Caskey was once again a two-way player, performing well both at the plate and in the circle. From the plate, Caskey hit for a .296 average with six doubles while driving in 14. In the circle, Caskey appeared in 27 games, starting 24 and had 22 complete games. She had a 3.67 ERA with a 10-15 record. Caskey led the team in innings pitched (156.1) and strikeouts (64). 2013- Named All-PacWest Third Team…appeared in 19 games, getting 14 starts…logged the second most innings on the staff with 118.2…went 12-5 with a 1.95 ERA while striking out 41….pitched 12 complete games including two shutouts…her ERA was 6th best in the PacWest Conference… held opponents to a paltry .238 batting average, 5th best in the PacWest...had six strikeouts against Chaminade on February 10th
