Hawaii Pacific University Athletics

Megan Ikemiya joins the Sharks in her first year from Carmel, California. The 5-foot-8 right-handed golfer is pursuing a degree in Business at Hawai'i Pacific.

Ikemiya comes to HPU after attending Carmel High School, where she earned four varsity letters in golf under coach Ross Kroeker. She earned Pacific Coast All-League First Team honors three times and Second Team honors once, and was a two-time Player of the Year.

Ikemiya chose HPU because of the women's golf coaches, feeling a sense of belonging after meeting them, and because the program offers a strong balance between academics and athletics. Away from the course, she enjoys hiking, working out and art. Looking ahead, she hopes to work as an investment banker with a master's degree in finance. She was born in Monterey, California, and is the daughter of Stephen and Sonia Ikemiya. She has two older sisters, Shannon and Erin.
