Hawaii Pacific University Athletics

Samantha Gehlen joins the Sharks from Central Catholic High School in Portland, Oregon. The Camas, Washington native is pursuing a degree in Business at Hawai?i Pacific while competing for the women's golf team.

Gehlen was a four-year letterwinner in golf and also earned two varsity letters in cheerleading during her high school career under head coach John Guthrie. She earned First Team All-League and Second Team All-League honors and was recognized as the Mt. Hood Conference Best Teammate and OSAA Most Valuable Teammate, highlighting both her performance and leadership on and off the course.

Gehlen chose HPU because it provides the opportunity to pursue her academic goals while continuing her passion for golf. She looks forward to challenging herself, meeting new people, and making the most of her collegiate experience. Away from the course, she enjoys exercising, baking, traveling, dancing, crafting, and shopping. In 10 years, she hopes to be happy, healthy, financially stable, and thriving in a career she is passionate about.
