Texas Powers joins the HPU sports information staff heading into the 25-26 season.
A seasoned professional, Powers holds a master's degree in sports administration from the University of Northern Colorado, where he served as the Graduate Assistant for Marketing and Fan Engagement. During his time there, Powers helped to revitalize the Bear Den Student Section, doubling its social media following and increasing student attendance.
Previously, Powers held internship positions at the University of Hawaii and Hawaii Pacific University within their respective athletic departments.
Powers is a proud HPU Alum, receiving his bachelor's degree in mass communication in December 2022. During his time as a student, he was a cheer team member as a friend of Sharky.
