The HPU senior who was named First Team All-PacWest Conference closed her career on a high note as the Sharks defeated cross-town rival Chaminade 3-2 to cap a week that saw HPU win at California Baptist 3-1 and lose a heartbreaking 3-2 decision at BYU-Hawaii. Recca recorded 61 kills (4.36 k/s), 44 digs (3.14 d/s) and 13 blocks (0.93) for the week to go with four assists. On Friday, Recca posted a 20-20 game at BYU-Hawaii with 22 kills and 21 digs with eight blocks. She then traveled across the island with the Sharks to host Chaminade where she posted 24 kills and 16 digs. Those were her 19th and 20th double-doubles of the season, and brought her to 67 in her career. Last Monday at Cal Baptist, Recca led the match with 15 kills and added four blocks. She has smashed the HPU record with 1591 career kills. The iron woman has played in all 111 matches that HPU has played the last four seasons, starting all but one, and missed only three sets in her career to total 437.
