Honolulu, HI (12/8/10) – This Saturday, December 11, the HPU men's basketball team will take on the University of Hawai'i-Manoa at the Stan Sheriff Center. The game will be the first between the two schools since 1985 when HPU topped UH in a December contest, 79-69. HPU leads the all-times series 1-0.
Prior to taking on UH, the Sea Warriors will play in the annual Hawai'i Challenge. HPU plays Chaminade tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. in Laie, then play Friday with the time and opponent to be determined.
HPU (3-3) is looking to rebound after two losses last weekend at the Glacier Classic in Alaska. Nick Frazier has been leading HPU on the offensive end with 12.6 points per game, and senior forward Royal Edwards holds the team's lone double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds).
Following the game, HPU will play seven consecutive home contests beginning with Texas A&M International on Wednesday, December 15.
