Chance Bukoski scored a goal and recorded the game winning assist, as the HPU men's soccer team topped BYU-Hawai'i, 2-1, in double overtime. HPU finishes the season second in the PacWest at 10-2-2 and 13-2-2 overall. BYUH drops to 7-6-1 in conference and 8-9-1 overall.
Bukoski opened the scoring in the seventh minute with his 13th goal of the season.
Paul Harleman served a ball from the right flank to the feet of an on-running Bukoski who shot the ball past BYUH keeper Cory Cosgrave.
The Seasiders evened the match in the 20th minute as Adam Maciejewski followed up a save by HPU keeper
Matt Terry. Just minutes into the second overtime period, Bukoski found
Kimo Komomua running in from the left flank. He collected the pass and shot the ball past Cosgrave for the sudden victory win.
Terry posted five saves for HPU, with Cosgrave recording 10 saves for the Seasiders.
