Honolulu, HI (April 11, 2011) – The seeding and opening round match-ups have been announced for the PacWest Championships April 14-16 in Laie. Based on the ITA rankings, Hawai'i Pacific was seeded second and will face the seventh seeded Dixie State Red Storm on Thursday at 3:15 PM.
HPU holds its highest ever national ranking at fifth in the country after finishing with a 14-4 record. The Sea Warriors are 5-0 against teams in the PacWest field. With BYU-Hawai'i, HPU and Grand Canyon ranked one, two and three in the West Region, the PacWest Championships will likely decide which team will receive a bye to the National Championships, skipping the regional.
