Honolulu, HI (September 24, 2011) – The Hawai'i Pacific men's soccer team continues to roll. The Sea Warriors are now 7-1 and 4-0 in the PacWest; HPU hopes to move up in the regional poll that will be released on Tuesday. On Saturday, HPU beat UH-Hilo for the second time this season, this time it was a 3-1 PacWest victory.
Senior
Chance Bukoski shouldered the offensive load, scoring two goals and assisting on a third. Bukoski now has eight goals on the year, two ahead of the next closest player in the PacWest.
Heimana Chene scored HPU's other goal, his third of the season.
HPU fell behind 1-0 at the 34:51 mark, but came roaring back. Just before the half, Truls Lystad sent a cross to
Keenan Ho, who headed the ball back across the goal to Bukoski, who punched it in. Bukoski scored, what proved to be the game winner, at the 21:46 mark of the second half.
Kimo Komomua fed the ball to the middle of the box where Bukoski did the rest. HPU got a little breathing room when Bukoski set up Chene to make it 3-1.
HPU faces Grand Canyon University on Thursday at 3 PM at Atherton Field.
