Box Score HONOLULU, HI (February 1, 2014) – The Hawai'i Pacific Men's Basketball Team (12-6, 7-5) got back to its winning ways on Saturday afternoon with a 90-84 victory over Azusa Pacific (10-6, 6-6). The Sea Warriors used an all-around offensive attack with six players registering double-figures.
HPU used a blistering shooting day to move to 10-1 on the season at home. From the floor, HPU shot an unheard of 58.5% (31-53) and a robust 53.3% (8-15) from deep. HPU was almost as dominant on the glass, holding a 43-24 rebounding advantage. HPU's offensive rebounds (19) almost equaled APU's total rebounds (24).
Still, the game was just a two-point game with 4:00 to play but
Justin Long buried a three-pointer and the Sea Warriors did not look back.
It was the return of Long, who had missed the past three weeks due to injury. There was no rust as the junior poured in 24 points, including 4-4 from long range.

Farbod Farman (11), and
Rema Lascelles (10) all had good days offensively. Nordquist led all competitors in assists (six) as Farman did the same in rebounds (eight).
The Sea Warriors return to action on Monday when they face California Baptist at Neal Blaisdell Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
