Box Score HONOLULU (October 24, 2015)—A night after falling to league-leading California Baptist in four sets, the Hawaii Pacific women's volleyball team was defeated in five by local rival Chaminade 20-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-23, 15-10 in a PacWest Conference matchup at McCabe Gym.
The Sharks (12-8, 7-5 PacWest) were led by junior outside hitter
Pomai Recca (21 kills, 7 digs) and senior
Elizabeth Culpepper (20 kills, 8 digs, four blocks). Setter
Tenika Wentworth notched 36 assists and chipped in 16 digs, while senior defensive specialist
Amanda Moriarty racked up 22 digs.
The Silverswords (14-5, 7-4) were led by Keani Passi, who accumulated a match-high 22 kills and Reigna Johnson, who finished with six blocks.
HPU returns to action with a home match at St. Andrew's Priory on Thursday, Oct. 29, to face local PacWest rival BYU-Hawaii at 7 p.m.
