Box Score KANEOHE, Hawaii (November 7, 2015)—The Hawaii Pacific men's soccer team completed the 2015 campaign with a 2-0 victory over UH Hilo in a PacWest Conference contest on Senior Day at the Atherton Field.
The Sharks (10-6-1, 8-4-1 PacWest) scored in the 38
th minute on a goal from
Sven Koenig, which was assisted by
Erik Kemsies. Senior
Ryo Sugihara also added a goal in the 75
th minute, and was able to celebrate in the middle of the field with his teammates to complete his HPU career.
The Vulcans (4-12-2, 3-8-2) were out-shot by the Sharks 13-7, and HPU goalkeepers
Eduardo Palacios and
Jesse Kunitomo each played a half and combined on the shutout.
HPU bid aloha to three departing seniors in a ceremony held after the match. The Sharks seniors included
Nahoa Salera, Sugihara and
Jackson Groves.
