Box Score WAIPIO, HAWAII (September 5, 2015)—The Hawaii Pacific men's soccer team dropped its season-opening match to visiting Northwest Nazarene (Idaho), 2-1, in an overtime contest at Waipio Soccer Park.
 
The Sharks (0-1) fell behind early as NNU's Alex Mitrovic scored in the 7^th minute off an assist via throw in from Graham Reid. HPU answered with an equalizer in the 55^th minute as sophomore Divin Fula Lazolo found the back of the net on a free kick from 20 yards out.
 
The Crusaders (1-0) notched the victory in the 92^nd minute, early in the first overtime period, as Julio Garcia scored the game's golden goal to end the affair.
 
The Sharks return to action on Monday, Sept. 7 at 5 p.m. where they will face Cal State Monterey Bay at Waipio Soccer Park.
