SAN FRANCISCO – Hawai'i Pacific University scored a pair of goals in the final 18 minutes to beat Academy of Art 2-0 in PacWest action at Beach Chalet Soccer Field on Tuesday.
HPU (4-10-2, 4-6-1) grabbed a win in the first game of a season-ending three-game road trip. Academy of Art (1-14-1, 1-9-1) finished its home season by continuing an eight-game losing skid.
The Sharks and Urban Knights played to a scoreless draw until the 73rd minute of the match.

Sky Nanoo of Citrus Heights, Calif./Bella Vista found freshman
Rhys Wynbrandt of Sacramento, Calif./St. Francis in front of the goal. Wynbrandt fired the ball past the diving ArtU goalkeeper Maggie Alikpala to grab the 1-0 lead. It was Wynbrandt's first collegiate goal.
The Sharks kept up the attack and found a put-away goal in the 83rd minute.

Taylor Cabbab of Ewa Beach, Hawai'i/Campbell, sent a pass from 30 yards out on the far side of the field to a wide open
Noelle Mercado. The sophomore from Honolulu, Hawai'i/Kaiser tapped it into the goal to make it 2-0.

Lauren Spencer of Oxford, Mich./LaSalle notched her second shutout of the season as she recorded seven saves on the 12 shots by the Urban Knights.
Alikpala recorded seven saves for ArtU, off the 18 shots of HPU.
The Sharks are right back at in on Thursday as they play game two of the three-game road swing. The Sharks face Notre Dame de Namur at Koret Field in Belmont, Calif., with kickoff set for 11:30 a.m. HST (2:30 p.m. PDT).
