WAIPAHU, Hawai'i – The No. 4 Hawai'i Pacific University women took care of business on Saturday in shutting out Bethel (Minn.) 9-0 in non-conference tennis action at Central Oahu Regional Park.
The No. 4 Sharks (11-1) handed the Royals (7-2) their second loss of the season as HPU won its only home match this season.
The Sharks used the match to play some different combinations throughout the lineup.
In doubles, HPU got off to a 3-0 start with

Barbora Kijasova beating Mattie Kidder/Maggie Riermann 8-3 at No. 1,
Debora Echeverria/
Heloise Le Normand defeating Jill Weinzettel/Mackenzie Novack 8-2 at No. 2 and Leticia Gonzales dos Santos/
Oceane Adam downing Samantha Hindt/Mattie Lubben 8-1 at No. 3.
HPU picked up two quick wins with ninth ranked Lutzeier dispatching Rierman 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1, while 21st ranked Adam took out Kidder 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2. Kijasova stepped up to win at No. 3 over Novak 6-4, 6-4, while Le Normand downed Weinzettel 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4.
The Sharks moved in
Bianca Schulhof at No. 5 singles to beat Hindt 6-3, 6-3, and Monica Green played at No. 6 to get Megan Schuler 6-1, 6-2.
The Sharks are off the competitive courts until Thursday, March 29, when they have a quick trip to Southern California to face Azusa Pacific, then Cal State LA on Friday, March 30.
