CUH opened the game on an 8-0 run, then added to it for a 21-3 lead with five minutes gone in the opening half. The Sharks chipped back and closed the gap to seven with five minutes to go in the half on a Hounshell jumper. HPU and CUH swapped scores and still trailed by seven on a Foy jumper with 2:43 in the half. But that was as close as the Sharks would get as the Swords wrapped up the first frame with a 56-46 advantage.
The it was all Chaminade in the second, opening with a 27-5 run and never looking back. When the dust cleared the Silverswords held a 113-80 final score.
HPU doesn't have much time to dwell on the loss, as the Sharks and Swords battle for the third time in five days on Saturday afternoon. Tipoff at McCabe Gym is set for 3 p.m.
