HONOLULU – Hawai'i Pacific University and Hawai'i Hilo played 90 minutes to a scoreless draw on Sunday at St. Louis Field, but that was all the Sharks needed to win the PacWest Hawai'i Men's Soccer title in the final game of the season.
The Sharks (3-0-1, 3-0-1) rifled eight shots in the contest to the Vulcans (1-1-2) four, but neither team found the net in the game.
HPU senior goal keeper
Jeremy Zielinski of Sunnyvale, Calif./Homestead made a save on the only shot on goal for the Vulcans to post the shutout. UHH starting keeper Christian Souza played 33 minutes, recording two saves before he was replaced by Michael Harre who played the next 57 minutes posting one save.
The Covid caused double-round robin schedule comes to an end with the contest.
