SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – The Hawai'i Pacific University women's volleyball team wrapped up their California road trip with back-to-back wins as they took they defeated Dominican University in four sets. After dropping the first set 19-25, the Sharks would bot be denied the victory as they went 25-14, 25-20, and 25-18 the rest of the way.
Marley Sandoval and
Ella Dotson would combine for 24 kills with Sandoval executing at an absurd .450 hitting percentage.
Pua Beasley facilitated the Shark's offense racking up 25 assists and six digs while Libero
Kylie Komo wrapped up her stellar week with 18 digs which ended her week's total at 53.
The Penguins had a tough time getting through HPU's front line as the Sharks outblocked them 11-6 with
Ella Schoene adding five to her season total.
HPU moves to 2-10 on the season and will be back on Oahu to take on nationally-ranked Chaminade on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. (HST).
