Waipahu, HI – The Hawaii Pacific University men's soccer team suffered a 2-0 defeat to Menlo College on Saturday night at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium. The Oaks improved to 6-3-1 overall and 4-1-0 in conference play, while the Sharks dropped to 3-8-0 overall and 2-3-0 in conference action.
After a scoreless first half, Menlo broke through in the 51st minute when Parker Faeth netted his first goal of the season off an assist from Oliver Mayer. The Sharks fought to respond but struggled to generate chances, managing only two shots on target throughout the match.
Menlo extended their lead in the 65th minute, with Isak Haukefaer scoring his sixth goal of the season. Despite HPU's efforts to rally, the Oaks' defense stood firm, limiting the Sharks to just seven total shots.
