MANOA, HI - The HPU Women's Volleyball team took on the Point Loma Sea Lions Thursday night at The Shark Tank. The Sharks fell in three sets against Point Loma with tallying scores of 15-25, 21-25, and 16-25.
The Sharks stood strong against one of the top teams in the conference. The Sharks remained positive in the hitting percentage throughout the whole match with a high of 0.292 hitting percentage in the 3rd set. Each point was hard-earned for each team and deserves the recognition of high competition.
It was a valiant effort made by the Sharks, however the Sea Lions came out victorious in their only match facing off this season.

- Sophia Cooper lead with 7 kills, 1 ace, and 1 block

Ella Dotson stood out on both sides with 5 kills and 5 digs

Tehani Pescaia totaled for an overall of 20 assists
Point Loma had some star appearances with Anna Massari leading with 12 kills and 2 blocks, Abigail Nua with 11 kills, and Sophia Baugh that totaled 26 assists. Makena Joyce was a defensive asset leading with a total of 16 digs.
The Sharks continue with their season searching for another win. HPU continues the grind hoping to disrupt the conference playoffs.They refuse to be counted out as they have been closely competing against the highest level teams of the season
