HILO, Hawai'i – The Hawai'i Pacific women's soccer team (2–4–4, 1–2–3 PacWest) dropped a 2–0 decision to Hawai'i Hilo (6–2–4, 4–1–1 PacWest) on Friday afternoon at Vulcan Soccer Field.
The Vulcans struck early, scoring both goals within a four-minute span in the first half. Delaney Barbee found the back of the net twice, assisted by Haley Clark, Mia Berney, and Briana Kubli, giving Hilo the early edge that held for the remainder of the match.
HPU tallied three total shots, with one on target, while goalkeeper Skylar Jacobsen recorded six saves to limit further damage against a strong Hilo attack that totaled 19 shots.
The Sharks will look to regroup as they return home for the next stretch of PacWest play, aiming to bounce back and regain momentum heading into the final weeks of the season.
