Honolulu, HI - The HPU mens basketball game dominated from start to finish in their final home game of the year versus Chaminade yesterday,
February 27th. While it was a pretty tight contest going into halftime with the Sharks holding on to a 6 point lead. HPU was able to run away with the game in the second half finishing up with a final score of 95-76. HPU was led by some big time performances by the seniors in their final game at the Shark tank and after an up and down season were able to finish strong at home.
Joshua West continued to be at the center of the action for the Sharks dropping 16 points while also adding 7 rebounds and contributing on the other side of the ball as well with 2 steals.
Charlie Weber added 15 points in his final home game for the Sharks while senior
Jakob Kimura knocked down 4 three pointers en route to 12 points. Senior
Tucker Pellicci recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Kent King led the scoring for Chaminade with 17 points but the Silverswords couldn't get shots to fall consistently as they finished the game shooting 42.6% from the floor while the Sharks shot 48.6%.
HPU will finish their season out in Hilo this Saturday,
March 1st.
