WAIPAHU, HI – Hawai'i Pacific women's soccer battled through a physical and defensive contest at Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium on Tuesday afternoon, earning a 0–0 draw against Chaminade.
The Sharks (1-2-2) relied on a strong performance from freshman goalkeeper Skylar Jacobsen, who turned away five Silversword shots. Jacobsen made three crucial saves in the second half, including two in the final five minutes to preserve the scoreless result.
HPU's defense held firm under constant Chaminade pressure, as the Silverswords outshot the Sharks 14–5 and held a 9–0 advantage in corner kicks. Despite the imbalance, the Sharks' back line limited Chaminade's chances to mostly long-range efforts, with Jacobsen cleaning up the dangerous looks on target.
On the attacking end, the Sharks generated five shots, including an early attempt from Lisette Almanza and late efforts from Lauren Longworth that nearly broke the deadlock.
The result marks HPU's second draw of the season and keeps Jacobsen unbeaten in her last two starts in goal.
