HONOLULU, Hawai'i – The Hawai'i Pacific women's golf team competed against a highly competitive field at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, finishing 13th overall with a three-round total of 939.
The Sharks opened the tournament with a 310 in round one, followed by a 324 in round two, before closing strong with their best round of the event, a 305.
Isabella Iorio led HPU with a three-round total of 223, finishing tied for 36th with rounds of 73, 78, and 72.
Shuiyun He followed with a 227 (76-79-72) to tie for 46th, while Giuliana Rovetti posted a 245 (77-86-82). Momoko Kawakita added a 248 (84-84-80), and Paige Sur rounded out the lineup with a 250 (86-83-81).
Competing as an individual, Yumi Sugimoto recorded a total of 259 across three rounds.
The Sharks faced a strong field throughout the tournament, highlighted by top programs across multiple conferences, and showed resilience by improving their team score in the final round.
