Personal: Born in Napa, California…nickname is “Akamai”…parents are Charlie and Karen…has two siblings; Lauren (25) and Natalie (23)…Akamai’s hobbies include cooking, backpacking, hanging out with friends and family, working out, and going to the beach…favorite foods are Mexican food, blueberries, and dark chocolate…favorite movies are Pitch Perfect, Tangled, Hitch, She’s the Man, and A Cinderella Story…favorite athletes are Alex Morgan, Hope Solo, and Time Lincecum…chose HPU for softball and a strong education program…and because it’s in Hawaii…in 10 years Akamai would like to be an experienced teacher who has traveled and has a family…she is currently majoring in Elementary Education.

Prior to HPU: Graduated from Rincon Valley Christian in Santa Rosa, California…there she played softball, soccer, and basketball…she was awarded 1^st Team All-League…NCL II South League MVP in 2008, Press Democrat All-Empire Co-Player of the Year in 2008…in soccer she earned All-League from 2006-2009, and 2^nd Team NCS in 2009…Akamai also attended Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, California…there she played softball, as pitcher, under Coach Pat Fitzgerald…she also attended Messiah College in Grantham, PA.
