Prior to HPU: A graduate of Kauai High School in Lihue, Hawaii...where he lettered in baseball uinder coach Hank Ibia...earned 2009 and 2010 KIF All-Star honors as a catcher.
HPU: 2014: Begins fourth season.
2013: Played in 22 games, starting 21…hit .194 with 10 runs, two doubles, a triple, a steal, and eight RBI…only committed one error in 148 chances (.993)…threw out six of 22 runners attempting to steal.
2012: Played in nine games, started in eight...hit .160 with two runs, a double, two RBI, one walk, and a stolen base.
2011: Rice-Kashima was named the PacWest Co-Freshman of the Year and was named to the PacWest Second Team…he played in 26 games, starting 25…He hit .310 with 13 RBI, eight doubles, a triple and 14 runs…Had a slugging percentage of .425…Committed only three errors on the season (.981)…Had six RBI and seven total bases against Academy of Art on April 30th.
