Personal: Balzan was born in Irving, Texas and grew up in Medford, NJ…her parents are Jim and Tricia Balzan…she has three younger brothers Matthew (15), Jackson (13), and Brett (10)…her hobbies include going to the beach, gymnastics, shopping, and hanging out with friends and family…her favorite foods are pasta, chicken, and salad…her favorite movies are Footloose and Frozen…favorite musical artists are Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, and Florida Georgia Line…her favorite athletes are Shawn Johnson, Carly Patterson, and Derek Jeter…she is majoring in Hospitality and Tourism…in 10 years she hopes to have a great job working in a hotel…she chose HPU because it is great for her major and allowed her to participate on the acrobatics and tumbling team, doing what she loves

Prior to HPU: Balzan attended Shawnee High School and played gymnastics for coaches Nicole Newbert and James Baker…she was the captain of her high school gymnastics team her senior year and placed first at states on the floor exercise…she also placed third at nationals in the floor exercise as well
