HPU – 2017-2018: Sam started 7 of the 30 games she played in during her junior season as a guard for the Sharks averaging 24.1 minutes per game. She shot 45.1% from the field and 36.5% from 3-point range for a total of 352 points and 11.7 average per game. She pulled down 144 boards for a 4.8 rebound per game average and season high of 10 against Dominican in the PacWest Semifinal game. She also dished out 50 assists and recorded 39 steals on the season. Sam played a critical role in the PacWest Championship victory over Point Loma and was awarded All PacWest Conference 3^rd team honors. She posted a season high of 22 points in the NCAA Division II Tournament game against Montana State Billings on 3/9/18.
