Personal: Born in Wailuku, Hawai‘i...daughter of Les Takatani and Laurie Killam...has a younger sister, Kela (15)…goes by the nickname "Eddie"...enjoys surfing, hanging out, and cooking...favorite foods are maui onion chips and acai bowls from Lanikai Juice…enjoys listening to Drizzy Drake and Trey Songs...other favorites include the movies Blue Crush, Love & Basketball and Lion King and athletes Jacoby Ellsbury, Carmelo Anthony, five-time NBA Champion and two-time Finals MVP Kobe Bryant, and all the players on the HPU men's soccer team.

High School: A graduate of Baldwin High School in Wailuku, Maui, where she lettered in softball under Coach Ryan Souza and in basketball under Coach Angel Kalehuawehe…named 2009 MIL Softball Player of the Year and 2008 MIL Softball Second Team as Catcher.

HPU: Redshirted in her second season. 2010: Played in 42 games...recorded two hits, 19 runs and one RBI.
