Personal: Born in San Luis Obispo, California…daughter of Rod and Margie Valine...has one older brother Chris (26) and a sister-in-law Heidi Valine (25)…enjoys going to the beach and photography…favorite foods are strawberries, watermelon and enchiladas...other favorites are the movies Garden State, Cars and Into the WIld, music artists Jason Aldean, Shinedown and Breaking Benjamin...and athletes Clayton Kernshaw, James Loney and Alex Cora...in 10 years she would like to owning her own bar that is environmentally friendly...majoring in Environmental Studies...chose HPU for the opportunity to experince new cultures and to play softball.

High School: A graduate of San Luis Obispo High School, California where she lettered in softball under Coach Mike Lee and in volleyball under Jon Hastings...earned First-Team All-League honors as a pitcher, Second-Team All County, and team Most Valuable Player.

HPU: Begins fourth season. 2010: Played in 24 games, started in 21...finished the season with a 1.28 ERA. 2009: Played in 10 games, starting in one...finished the season with a 2.63 ERA. 2008: Saw action in eight games with three combined shutouts...posted a 2.00 ERA...struck out a season-high three batters in two innings of work versus Saint Martin's University (3/28).
