Originally from Gainesville, Georgia, Cooper Bowen built a strong foundation as a goalkeeper, helping lead Johnson High School to the 2018 GHSA 5A State Championship. He went on to compete at the NCAA Division I level with Georgia State University from 2019–2022 before completing his playing career at the University of North Georgia in 2022–2023.
Following the conclusion of his collegiate career, Bowen transitioned into coaching, joining the University of North Georgia men’s soccer staff as the Goalkeeper Coach in 2023. During this time, he also coached with Windham Training goalkeeper clinics and served as head coach of a U9 girls team, gaining valuable experience in both player development and youth coaching.
In 2025, Bowen moved to O?ahu to continue his coaching career, taking on the role of Goalkeeper Director at Leahi Soccer Club while also being named Goalkeeper Coach for Hawaii Pacific University.
Bowen is dedicated to goalkeeper development and aims to build a culture of confidence, discipline, and technical growth within HPU’s men’s soccer program.
