Biography

Personal: Born in Fountain Valley, California…parents are Jeffrey Viena and Kristin Viena Gaeta…has five siblings, Brian, Whitney, Alyssa, Jospeh, and Darin…enjoys going to the beach, hiking, and snowboarding…favorite movies are Pitch Perfect, 50 First Dates, and Transformers…favorite musical artists are Jack Johnson, Iration, and J Boog…favorite athletes is Kobe Bryant…. chose HPU for the small class sizes and the chance to play and live in Hawaii…in ten years she would like to be traveling the world and helping kids and animals in foreign countries.

Prior to HPU: Graduated from Santiago High School in Corona, California where she played softball and volleyball. 

HPU: 2016: played in 40  games and started in 30. In 91 at-bats she scored 15 runs, and walked seven times. She drove in 16 RBI’s on 25 hits and stole five bases. She has 17 putouts, 10 assists, and a .818 fielding percentage.  2015: played in 26  games and started in 19. In 43 at-bats she scored one run, and walked three times. She drove in four RBI’s on eight hits and stole one base. She has 41 putouts, 24 assists, and a .942 fielding percentage.  2014: Viena started in 35 games appearing in 38. She hit .230 on 17 hits while scoring 18 runs. She had four doubles, one triple, and one homerun and drove in nine RBI’s. She led the team in HBP with 10.
