Kim Hom enters her seventh season the top assistant with the Hawaii Pacific Women's Basketball program. She is also the administrator of the HPU spirit squads overseeing the cheer, dance and mascot programs.

Since joining HPU, Hom has helped the Sharks to NCAA Division II Tournament appearances in 2015 and 2017, the 2015 PacWest Conference Championship and the 2015 PacWest Tournament Championship. She has also helped the Sharks reach the PacWest Tournament in all five years of its existence.
Hom earned a Master’s in Secondary Education in English from Hawai‘i Pacific in 2013, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Notre Dame de Namur University in 2010. She also hold an Associate of Arts from City College of San Francisco awarded in 2008.
Before joining the Sharks, Hom was an assistant coach at Waldorf High School of San Francisco and tutored the City College of San Francisco's women's basketball team in 2010 and 2011.
Hom began her playing collegiate playing career at City College of San Francisco where she earned All-Conference honors both seasons. She then played at Notre Dame de Namur where she was named to the PacWest Conference’s Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll for Dec. 1-7, 2008.

From San Francisco, Calif., Hom played at George Washington High School, where she was recently placed in the school’s athletic Hall of Fame.
