Cool Runnings…favorite musical artists are J Boog, Anuhea, Jojo, Frank Ocean, and Lauryn Hill…favorite athletes are Steve Nash, Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, and Candace Parker…chose HPU for the education, to play basketball, and for the opportunity to live in Hawaii…”It’s the best opportunity and experience I’ll ever have”…in 10 years Shi would like to be happy and successful in her career…she is currently majoring in International Studies.
Prior to HPU: Graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Stockton, California…there she played basketball as a shooting guard under Coach Tom Gonsalez…in 2009, her basketball team won Division III State Championships…in 2009 Shi earned Stockton Hall of Fame: St. Mary’s Girls’ Basketball Team of the Year…she also ran cross country and track…attended San Joaquin Delta College…played basketball, as a shooting guard, under Coach Gina Johnson…earned Academic All-Conference and First Team All-Conference in 2010-2011.

2013-2014: Begins second season.
2012-2013: Solomon played in 17 games (averaging 8.3 minutes), starting two…scored 50 points, grabbed 15 rebounds, dished out 12 assists, and added four steals and two blocks…was a perfect 12-12 from the foul line to lead HPU in FT%...Scored a team-high 13 points against Augustana (11-23-12)
