Women’s Soccer Defeats Dominican University

Kaneohe, HI (10/14/10) – At Atherton Field, the HPU women's soccer team defeated Dominican University, 1-0. Meghan Fuller's (Pearl City, HI) gamewinner early in the second half gave the Lady Sea Warriors won their second consecutive conference game to improve to 4-4 in the PacWest and 4-7 overall. Dominican falls to 4-6-1 overall and 3-3-1 in conference.

Fuller, who was active all match up front for HPU, had two shots saved by DU keeper Megan Herring before following up the second rebound with a score. Fuller recorded six shots, five on target. 

Amber Fuller (Honolulu, HI) had three shots with two on target for HPU, and Julianna Bratsberg led the Dominican attack with four shots.

HPU goalkeeper Carianne Makino (Honolulu, HI) posted three saves in earning the shutout, and Herring recorded seven saves.

HPU retakes the field on Wednesday, October 20, versus Notre Dame de Namur. Start time at Atherton Field is set for 3:00 p.m.
