Kaneohe, HI (10/23/10) – At Atherton Field, the HPU women's soccer team topped Dominican University, 2-0. The Sea Warriors improve to 5-8 overall and 5-5 in the PacWest, while the Lady Penguins drop to 6-8-1 overall and 5-5 in conference.
Amber Fuller scored HPU's two goals, both in the second half. She netted a penalty kick just minutes into the second half, then scored her second goal in the 53rd minute off a Sanoe Souza corner kick.
HPU tallied 15 shots on the afternoon, and sweeps the season series between the two schools.
HPU keeper Carianne Makino and Dominican keeper Megan Herring each recorded four saves.
The Sea Warriors return to action Wednesday, November 27, versus Chaminade. Start time at Atherton Field is set for 3:00 p.m.
