HPU Too Much For Silverswords

Honolulu (11/3/09) – At Saint Louis Field on the Chaminade University campus, the HPU women's soccer team dominated the Silverswords, 7-1. HPU improves to 9-7-1 overall and 7-5 in the PacWest. Chaminade falls to 0-15 overall and 0-11 in conference.

Dyanne Anderson scored three goals and posted one assist, and Amber Fuller added two goals. Anderson's hat trick gave her 12 goals on the season, tying her for the conference lead. HPU scored in the third and fourth minutes of the match. Fuller opened the scoring with her seventh goal of the season, and Anderson scored HPU's second goal as the Sea Warriors led 2-1 at the half. Meghan Fuller and Jamie Hirai added one goal each in the second half. Carianne Makino posted one save for HPU, with Marissa Minor recording seven saves for Chaminade.

The Lady Sea Warriors return to action this Thursday, November 5, against UH-Hilo. Start time at Atherton Field is set for 3:30 p.m.
