Kaneohe, HI (10/26/09) – At Atherton Field, the HPU women's soccer team fell to Notre Dame de Namur University, 2-0. The Sea Warriors drop to 8-7-1 overall and 6-5 in the PacWest, while NDNU improves to 6-9-1 overall and 6-4-1 in conference.
The Argos scored two second half goals just over two minutes apart to earn the win. NDNU scored its first goal in the 69th minute. Victoria Colon served a ball in from the right flank that Margo Rasteiro headed past HPU keeper
Carianne Makino. The Argos second goal came when K.C. O'Shea scored on a header off of a corner kick. Makino posted one save for HPU, with NDNU keeper Kelsey Baxter recording three saves. HPU outshot the Argos 7-4.
The Sea Warriors next take on Chaminade on Tuesday, November 3, at Saint Louis Field. Start time is set for 10:00 a.m.
